JOB SUMMARY

The Field Manager plays a critical role in overseeing field installation operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position works closely with builders, superintendents, and independent installers to coordinate job execution, manage materials, and resolve installation challenges. Success in this role means installations are completed accurately, job sites remain clean and compliant, and customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful installation execution by coordinating with builders, superintendents, and independent installers throughout all project phases.
  • Perform pre-installation inspections to identify deficiencies, confirm job readiness, and communicate issues for timely resolution.
  • Accurately plan materials by completing field measurements and verifying required quantities for full installation.
  • Provide technical guidance to installers and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and builder requirements.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality standards on active job sites.
  • Diagnose and solve installation issues to maintain project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Schedule and coordinate independent contractors to support efficient and timely project completion.
  • Evaluate installer performance, quality, and reliability to support contractor utilization decisions.
  • Maintain accurate project tracking, reporting, and system updates, including lot tracking and required logs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall quality.
  • Perform final inspections and ensure timely completion of punch list and quality assurance items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education, Experience & Qualifications:
    • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience managing multiple projects in a construction or field environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Ability to read and interpret job specifications, measurements, and installation requirements. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in the field. Proficiency with mobile technology, including iPad and iPhone. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, builders, and installers in active job site environments.
    • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cabinet products or interior finish materials. Residential new construction experience with national home builders. Experience working with independent contractors and installation crews. Familiarity with lot tracking or construction management software.
  • Physical Demands: Stationary Position: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods throughout the workday. Mobility: Frequently required to move between job sites, offices, and active construction environments. Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 25 pounds. Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach when inspecting installations and job sites. Manual Dexterity: Frequently operates mobile devices and other tools to document and manage job activity. Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, builders, and installers in active job site environments.
  • Work Environment: Office/Design Center: Professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels. Job Site/Field: Regular exposure to active construction sites, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and varying terrain. Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Safety: Requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
