About the role
At In-Place Machining Company (IPM), we provide skilled machinists with opportunities to work on critical machining challenges for customers across various industries, both domestically and internationally.Responsibilities
- Perform precision field machining in industrial environments.
- Hold tight tolerances in demanding real-world conditions.
- Set up, operate, and maintain specialized machining equipment at customer sites.
- Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Partner with engineers, project managers, and customers to develop innovative solutions.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Requirements
- 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
- Strong experience operating Bridgeport mills and manual engine lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
- Skilled in precision measurement using micrometers and inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
- Experience with rigging, hand tools, and power tools.
- A self-starter who can troubleshoot, adapt, and succeed in the field.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
- Technical degree or Journeyman certification preferred.
- OSHA 10 Certification (provided).
- Valid Driver's License.
- Forklift Certification/License (provided).
- IPM Overhead Crane Training Certification.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional weekends.
- Comfortable using mobile applications for timekeeping, expenses, and project reporting.
