Field Journeyman

About the role

The Field Service Technician will be assigned a truck and travel daily to customer job sites to repair and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment working independently.
• Disassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine.
• Check machine operation to ensure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed and is work ready.
• Document work orders, track progress of repairs and order parts using Anderson’s systems.
• Maintain focus on safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with a two year Technical degree or comparable military training.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with others, while out in the field.
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
• Ownership of adequate hand tools.
• Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred.

Qualifications

Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and computer systems.

Pay

$34.28-$45.00 per hour.

Schedule

Hours vary based on customer needs and may require evening and weekend work.
