Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Inspector to join our team in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex! In this pivotal role, you will help ensure our homes meet the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality prior to resident move-in. The Field Inspector supports the Field Manager and field operations team by overseeing final home inspections, coordinating completion efforts, and ensuring all aspects of home readiness are properly documented.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Aid the Field Manager and Field team in ensuring homes are in optimal condition prior to move-in, including overseeing the final inspection of homes, landscaping, and punch list completion.
- Upload and organize completion photos, functionality videos, and 3D scans for accurate documentation and smooth transitions for residents.
- Prior to move-in, verify that landscaping is maintained, punch list items are addressed, and that all necessary items (keys, garage openers) are present and ready at the property. Ensure Rently Blue locks are reset for security and access.
- Maintain and update all property information in the property management software, ensuring accurate data entry and timely removal of outdated information.
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with vendors, residents, families, visitors, and colleagues to ensure a consistently positive experience for all stakeholders.
- Assist with a variety of administrative tasks, such as conducting property tours, responding to phone inquiries, and supporting other assignments as directed by the Construction Manager.
- Collaborate closely with the Construction Manager and field team to ensure efficient operations, clear communication, and timely task completion.
- Attend all required training sessions, staff meetings, and in-service meetings to stay current with company procedures and initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid Texas Driver’s License required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a related field or in an inspection-based role.
- 1–2 years of experience in a customer service-focused position.
- Strong time management skills—the ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail; must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on resident and client satisfaction.
- Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with BuilderTrend and Rently is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50-75 pounds at times.

- Must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record search.
