Responsibilities
- Cook up and execute customer site assessments, collaborating with customers to address flagged issues until they are resolved.
- Identify hazards related to product delivery and site operations, and collaborate with employees to implement control measures.
- Analyze site assessment data to spot trends and contribute to the development and enhancement of risk management strategies.
- Conduct employee observations to verify adherence to HSE guidelines and company protocols.
- Create and deliver training sessions as required.
- Participate in incident investigations and assist with global HSE audits and inspections.
- Offer HSE assistance to other departments as needed.
- Coordinate with Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to rectify issues with skids identified during site visits.
- Plan and conduct Safety Topics meetings for Field Services monthly.
- Provide training data for FSRs' monthly safety meetings.
- Facilitate site assessment meetings with Technical Site Engineers (TSEs), ensuring that assessments are updated post-completion.
- Track and input Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information into the KPI dashboard.
Requirements
- A current/valid Passport or the capability to acquire one without any hindrances.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred.
- A CSS or CDS certification preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in a Transportation, HSE, or similar role.
- Petroleum pipeline industry or chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with personal initiative.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and FHWA regulations.
- Advanced computer and software proficiency.
- Willingness to work outside of traditional hours as necessary.
- Ability to operate in diverse environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold, wet).
- 60-70% or more travel to customer sites, sometimes with short notice.
