Field Foreman, Corrugated Packaging

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform pipefitting and welding on steam, condensate, water, and air systems in corrugating packaging plants
• Read, interpret, and work from P&IDs, drawings, and technical specifications
• Manage and coordinate third party contractors and ensure work meets Kadant Johnson and customer standards
• Support equipment installs, modifications, and troubleshooting on corrugator systems
• Provide accurate measurements, sketches, and documentation of system changes
• Work closely with engineering, service, and project management teams to ensure project success
• Maintain safety, quality, and performance standards while managing field operations
• Aid in developing scope of work, preparing proposals, and supporting customer needs

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years working in the corrugated packaging industry at a box plant or for a contractor/supplier that supports the corrugated packaging industry
• Millwright or pipefitter experience
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time including short notice trips, weekends, and occasional holidays based on customer needs
• In-depth mechanical knowledge of corrugator equipment
• Ability to identify problems and opportunities
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and provide sound technical solutions
• Supervisory responsibilities including hiring, staff performance evaluation, and people development
