Field Facilities Professional

About the role

This position involves diagnosing and developing repair/restoration solutions for the built environment. Projects can range from property condition assessments to detailed evaluations of various building systems and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assessments, inspections, and testing.
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, calculations, and research.
• Assist in the preparation of restoration design documents and construction oversight/administration.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
• Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field, or up to 5 years’ experience in facility assessment.
• Up to 5 years’ experience, or in lieu of a degree, 4-9 years’ related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of assessment techniques including visual examination, non-destructive testing, instrumentation and load testing, laboratory testing, and destructive examinations.
• Ability to work independently on smaller, routine projects and assist in performing assessments, inspections, and testing.
• Experience with contract administration for small-to-medium projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards on all projects.
