Field Equipment Specialist
About the role
Galvion is seeking a Field Equipment Specialist to lead its global Equipment Operations function and manage its worldwide Kit Room network.
Responsibilities
- Manage Galvion's global Kit Room network, including locations in Portsmouth, NH, Montreal, Canada, and Gdansk, Poland.
- Carefully coordinate the entire lifecycle of demonstration, evaluation, training, and trade show equipment—from acquisition and deployment through refurbishment and retirement.
- Maintain accurate inventory, reservation, asset tracking, and utilization records.
- Prepare, configure, inspect, and package equipment for customer demonstrations, evaluations, training events, and trade shows.
- Carefully coordinate domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with applicable import and export regulations.
- Develop and improve standardized Equipment Operations processes, SOPs, and performance reporting.
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support to ensure equipment is available when and where it's needed.
- Support prototype evaluations, new product introductions, and strategic customer engagements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment accountability, operational readiness, and asset utilization.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in equipment operations, logistics, product support, field support, military sustainment, or a related operational discipline.
- Experience managing high-value equipment and assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory, asset management, or reservation systems.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a strong commitment to operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the defense, aerospace, tactical, or government sectors.
- Military service in an operational unit.
- Experience supporting integrated hardware systems or technology-based products.
- Experience establishing or leading an equipment operations or demonstration asset management function.
Benefits
Approximately 20% travel is required between U.S. and Canadian facilities and customer locations, with occasional international travel.
