Field Equipment Installer - Commercial Kitchen

Boelter Companies, a supplier of commercial kitchen equipment, is seeking a full-time Field Installation Technician to support a national restaurant chain. This position is based in Glendale, WI but requires travel.

About the role

Duties include coordinating and installing foodservice equipment, stainless steel fabrication, and millwork dining room furniture nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Complete installation of foodservice equipment, millwork booths, and dining room furniture for a national restaurant chain.
• Weekly travel to project sites throughout the year on a varying schedule. Most travel is five days a week (typically Sunday through Thursday evening; home on Friday and Saturday).
• Work with 3rd-party installation crews on multiple projects when necessary.
• Provide installation support to the Boelter warehouse and other internal projects.
• 40+ hours per week while traveling; hours may vary when not traveling.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools and read blueprints/shop drawings.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and professional attitude.
• Experience and/or schooling in a construction-related industry preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, in adverse conditions, and meet project schedules on time.
• Works well in a team environment and accepts responsibility.
• Previous construction or trade-related experience suggested, but mechanical skills are required.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and jobsite etiquette.
• High School diploma or GED; 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.

Additional Information

• Customer-specific training for installation will be provided.
• Tools and equipment necessary for installation will be provided.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to walk, sit, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and use foot/feet to operate machines.
• Must consistently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
