About the role
The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented part-time Field Enumerator to support our organization. This position offers a competitive wage of $19.52 per hour, plus mileage, with potential for promotion based on hours worked and performance.
Responsibilities
- Interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses in person or by phone
- Perform crop counts in designated fields
- Maintain and deliver detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked
- Conduct enumerator work from a residence with an operable telephone
- Travel to designated fields as needed
Requirements
- Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment
- Positive representation of NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions
- Reliable personal vehicle for travel
- Ability to make crop counts in designated fields
- Good time management in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivation and enjoyment of teamwork
- Organized and positive attitude
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge about computers or iPads
