Responsibilities
- Serve agricultural producers by collecting reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information.
- Interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses in person or on the phone.
- Perform crop counts in designated fields.
- Maintain and deliver detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
- Conduct enumerator work from a residence with an operable telephone free from distractions.
- Travel to designated fields as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
- Make crop counts in designated fields.
- Maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
- Conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
- Knowledge about computers or iPads.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated.

Work schedule
This part-time field service position has a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weather, seasonal farm responsibilities, and community functions may affect work hours.
