About the role
The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) seeks individuals to assist in collecting data for the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), a partnership that has been ongoing for 50 years.
Responsibilities
- Interviewing operations (in-person and by telephone) to gather information from livestock and crop entities of all sizes.
- Participating in projects such as the Census of Agriculture in the winter/spring, a study of farm activity on selected acres in the summer, and crop counts in corn and pecans fields in the fall.
Requirements
- A flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends, with no guaranteed number of hours.
- An hourly wage starting at $17.75+ per hour, with supplies provided and mileage reimbursement.
- Continued training provided for all assignments.
- Opportunities to work from home and/or in your local area on a variety of assignments.

Qualifications
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Knowledge of computers or iPads.
- Passing a background check.
