POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with sales and engineering departments to determine customer project needs and timelines for implementation.
- Performs pre-tagging activities at project sites—verifying correctness of Line list to create a Bill of Materials.
- Determines and clarifies the sizes and quantities of MSI products (signs, pipe markers, etc.) needed.
- Serves as a direct company representative to customer and provides details and/or suggestions to MSI management.
- Installs materials according to customer specification on-site as directed by the Project lead.
- Reads and updates Project Definition Documents (PDD) and responds to the needs of the project.
- Identifies quality control issues during field engineering and installation and develops corrective action plan.
- Updates Daily Status Reports (DSU) with appropriate project and material information.
- Reports any issues while on site to Project Lead when they occur.
- Responds to and mitigates customer requests, concerns or issues.
- Consistently follows and enforces all MSI and site-specific safety protocol to include scheduling onsite safety training for project crew and leading site safety meetings as needed.
- Affords assistance in training and mentoring of new Installation Technicians on task specific activities as assigned.
- Promotes an environment of teamwork and cooperation and is accessible to employees.
- Upholds the MSI standard of service at all times per MSI procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in in manufacturing, construction or related field a plus.
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Experience working with lifts, snips and banders is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office products, advanced in Excel.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work at considerable heights (averages 20-80ft).
- Advanced understanding of facility drawings including equipment layouts, plot plans, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities.
- Exhibits above average organizational skills, multitasking skills and has the ability to recognize and deal appropriately with priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- There is a moderate risk of injury when installing materials on-site. Safety equipment is required to be worn.
- Work hours can average up to 50 - 60 hours a week.
- Scheduled hours will vary based on the ability to access the customer’s work site.
- Frequent walking, climbing, lifting (25 – 70 lbs), and pushing are expected.
