Role Summary
The Field Engineer 2 supports construction activities for routine projects and ensures efficient and effective completion of tasks. This position involves supervising a crew and working closely with the superintendent.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Actively participates in project-specific safety plans and company safety culture.
- Executes self-perform work and assists in crew activities.
- Pre-plans crew activities, fulfills daily task plans, and updates supervisor.
- Helps control costs and ensures quality for assigned tasks.
- Assists with MOC and equipment analysis, monitors crew size, and works with contractors.
- Participates in planning meetings and planning components of sequencing and coordination.
- Applies knowledge of construction management, Lean process, and productivity rates.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Accurately performs work and communicates effectively.
- Acquires knowledge in layout skills, crane flagging, rigging, organizational structure, and construction management.
- Proficient in MS Office and understands productivity rates.
- Builds relationships and collaborates within a team.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program (preferred).
- 2+ years construction experience (required).
- 0-2 years construction supervision experience (preferred).
