What You'll Do
Provides construction site engineering resources and expertise during construction phases of projects to interpret designs, adjust designs to meet site conditions, manage technical issues, perform quality inspections, monitor technical submittals and configuration management, verify installed quantities, support construction supervision, and provide final technical approval of completed construction tasks to ensure construction conforms to design specifications.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- OR Master’s degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e., Baccalaureate in engineering or related scientific major, 2 years job-related, and 1-year nuclear experience; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).

- Experience in positions such as a Mechanical Field/Construction/Quality Control Engineer
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with construction craft or supervision in meeting program/project objectives
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management
- Above average organizational skills
- Knowledge of single or multi-discipline construction operations and processes
- Knowledge of organized Construction Labor and Building Trades
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects/tasks with minimal supervisor direction and work well within a team
