About the role
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Field Engineer to drive precise, reliable execution of field installations and system testing, applying strong engineering judgment and hands-on expertise to support mission-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute, track, and document platform integration activities, providing technical leadership for installation efforts and ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and security standards.
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits, wiring schematics, and complex interconnect systems; fabricate harnesses and wiring assemblies as required.
- Conduct hands-on installation, integration, and testing of systems, applying engineering principles to adapt standard procedures, resolve technical issues, and ensure system functionality.
- Utilize a broad range of test equipment—including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power systems, and data acquisition systems—to test, measure, and diagnose digital, analog, and RF signal waveforms.
- Draft, review, and maintain technical procedures, engineering documentation, and test plans; assist in developing test procedures and supporting engineering change activities.
Requirements
- LEVEL 2 - 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- LEVEL 3 - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand installation work packets, drawings, and schematics.
- Experience working with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power systems.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $66,006.00 - $85,000.00.
