Responsibilities

  • Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
  • Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including all embedded items, before placement of concrete.
  • Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for the weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports.
  • Aid the Superintendent in front-line field management.
  • Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives, and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the project superintendent.
  • Coordinate material deliveries by checking material requirements in advance and comparing with the delivery status. Additionally, inspect materials delivered to the job for quantity, quality, and condition, and report on missing and/or damaged items.
  • Interpret plans and specifications for foremen and trade partners.
  • Oversee trade partners, as assigned, and direct workforces (e.g., a labor crew) of employees or trade partner employees to gain supervisory experience.
  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc.
  • Collaborate with the VDC team on VDC scope of work, execution plan, and deliverables related to field operations. Review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1-3+ years of industry experience required (internship time excluded).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Qualifications

  • Past internships in the construction industry are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to start in May/June 2026 (or as soon as possible).

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ProjectSight, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay

Total Compensation Package: $98,790.00 - $106,410.00

Schedule

Moderate Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration. Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen. Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights. Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist. Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. Occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures. Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
