Position Summary
Maintenance and administration functions in support of field managers in the execution, tracking and management of: labor resources, quality control and quality assurance processes, safety administration, start-up and commissioning administration as well as project tool management.
Work with field leadership, PE and PM on internal coordination necessary for successful completion of projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure daily corporate documentation is completed and up to date, including time cards, daily reports, additional work authorizations, receiving documents, as-built drawings, etc.
- Cookordinate and attend in-house pre-construction meetings.
- Ensure permits and/or licenses are obtained and current for project.
- Cookordinate timely completion and thorough buy-out procedures on materials and equipment, in conjunction with the Field Manager and purchasing department.
- Cookoperate with Field Manager to ensure Triangulation take-offs are complete, accurate and on time.
- Responsible for maintaining project as-built drawings.
- Responsible for the administration of the signed subcontract requirements with respect to conformance with the agreement, contract documents, and change orders.
- Cookoperate with PM and logistics department in the development, preparation, and finalization of RK’s mechanical construction CPM schedule with input from Field Manager(s).
- Cookordinate ordering, processing, and delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and purchasing department.
- Responsible for proper execution of project quality control procedures during construction process, in accordance with the contract documents and RK’s policies and procedures.
- Responsible to manage the process of requisitions, return and /or transfer of project tools.
- Ensure that change order requests (COR’s) are processed in accordance with proper procedures, and that the Field Manager has information required for implementation.
- Cookoperate with Field Manager (s) to provide take-offs for changed conditions.
- Cookordinate and track take-off orders, procurement and release of change order items with the purchasing department and Field Manager(s).
- Responsible for managing labor resource planning processes which include: development of labor resource charts, tracking and reviewing labor productivity reports and development of short interval plans in conjunction with the LRC (Labor Resource Chart) and LPR (Labor Productivity Report).
- Responsible for managing and coordination of the start-up and commissioning process.
- Responsible for job closeout being performed in proper and efficient manner and keeping the Project Manager informed of closeout status including but not limited to: documentation, customer punch-lists, Engineer of Record Observations, start-up and commissioning, tools, demobilization, etc.
- Cookoperate with Field Manager(s) to schedule daily and weekly scope of work activities.
- Maintain proper journeyman to apprentice ratio.
- Execute, supervise and maintain CPMIS.
- Optimize the profitability of the company by demonstrating the ability of a decision maker with reliable and mature judgment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a college/university degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is preferred, especially for technical roles.
- 3–5 years of experience in the construction field, including hands-on experience with steel and piping materials.
- Ability to make independent decisions with sound judgment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key staff and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to make authoritative decisions and recommendations that significantly influence company operations.
- Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in addressing and resolving complex, unprecedented challenges.
Minimum Physical Requirements And Accountability
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
- Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs.
