About the role
Carries out research to identify problems and develop solutions.
Oversees the maintenance of equipment and infrastructure at the site.
Assists in the installation of new and advanced technologies, interpreting requirements and understanding employee needs.
Tests installed machines for performance and safety, maintaining and handing reports to senior and concerned employees.
May undertake additional responsibilities as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Understands and communicates work directions to job site foremen, supervisors, and fellow employees.
- Works eight to ten hours per day, performing work outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat.
- Performs tasks such as standing, kneeling, lifting up to 60 pounds, pulling, squatting, and walking.
- Maintains awareness of concurrent activities on the jobsite, including those of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
- Willing and able to perform manual work.
Requirements
- Able to understand and communicate work directions.
- Able to work eight to ten hours per day, outdoors in all types of weather.
- Able to perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, squatting, and walking.
- Able to manage technical work with little supervision.
- Able to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment.
- Able to interpret technical issues through non-technical descriptions.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and possess good customer service skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks based on logical reasoning.
