Field Engineer

Job Description

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated product solutions.

Affirms product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

Conducts technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors, and company representatives.

Acts as a local on-site representative to the customer's organization.

Required Experience

• 4-year college degree, 2-year degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, equivalent technical degree, or relevant military experience.
• 3-5 years experience reading engineering drawings and schematics.
• 3-5 years experience with electronic troubleshooting, with the ability to fault-isolate to individual components.
• 3-5 years experience with electro-optical sensor hardware and software.
• 3-5 years experience with commercial and/or military electronics maintenance, including hand tool operation and maintenance.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with test equipment operation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with commercial test, measurement, and rework equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and hand-soldering.

Physical Demands

• Full-time, on-site position located in Los Angeles, California.
• Requires the individual to work on-site at all times.
• Must wear safety shoes for this position.
