Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead inspections and orientations, identify hazards and corrections, and model health and safety practices and procedures
• Coordinate with superintendents on workforce planning
• Maintain project document control and procedures
• Support project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings
• Participate in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs)
• Mentor and coach field engineers and students/interns
• Identify issues on-site or in defined work scopes
• Coordinate third-party inspections and site reviews
• Participate in crafting, implementing, and supervising the quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Develop and maintain positive relationships focusing on all partners

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience
• 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as a field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, self-perform work, subcontracted work scopes, temporary work, equipment, and scheduling techniques)
• Understands and applies construction principles to problem-solve
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, including clear technical writing for trade contractors, designers, and inspectors
• Proven track record working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software
• Ability to develop and maintain effective partner relationships

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $78,000 and $80,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
