Responsibilities
- Aid in compiling project close-out/operation and maintenance manuals.
- Coordinate document control and update Procore in conjunction with managing Requests for Information, Submittals, Drawing Logs, and other management tools.
- Contribute to process improvement by sharing best practices and training staff.
- Create and maintain the Contract Document Log and update it with current information.
- Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with relevant team members, ensuring meeting agendas and minutes are prepared and distributed.
- Ensure proper bid documents are sent to bidders and plan rooms for various bid packages as they become available.
- Build and maintain the bidders list.
- Maintain current construction documents.
- Update and maintain the CBI report to ensure all insurance is up to date.
- Handle Request for Information (RFI) responses from contractors, maintaining an RFI log.
- Review submittals and keep a submittal log.
- Support the management of the day-to-day project, including responding to pay requests, change orders, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and purchase orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of construction experience or a construction-related graduate degree.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- LEED AP and OSHA 10-hour certification a plus.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Mainly works indoors and outdoors, exposed to all types of weather and temperature conditions.
- Requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting.
- Occasionally stoops, bends, kneels, crouches, reaches, and twists.
- Lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls light to moderate amounts of weight.
- Operates equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination.
- Travels to various sites using various modes of private and commercial transportation.
- Verbal communication to exchange information.
- Work environment includes exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions, and travel from site to site.
- Physical demands include standing or sitting for prolonged periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight, operating equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, and verbal communication.
- Vision: Normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hearing: Normal audio range with or without correction.
