Job Description
MMR is seeking Field Engineer candidates to support field installation activities by conducting walkdowns, verifying layouts, resolving constructability issues, assisting with inspections, maintaining as-built documentation, and providing accurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision.
- Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors
- Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying
- Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation
- Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality inspections
- Maintain as-built documentation
- Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman
- Cookordinate directly with foremen and supervisors
- Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting
- Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of two years of field engineer and construction experience
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
