Field Engineer

Job Description

MMR is seeking Field Engineer candidates to support field installation activities by conducting walkdowns, verifying layouts, resolving constructability issues, assisting with inspections, maintaining as-built documentation, and providing accurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision.

• Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors
• Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying
• Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation
• Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality inspections
• Maintain as-built documentation
• Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman
• Cookordinate directly with foremen and supervisors
• Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting
• Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Required Skills and Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field
• Minimum of two years of field engineer and construction experience
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge in estimating and controls
• Working knowledge of MS Office software
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
