Field Engineer

About the role

This role involves providing technical and engineering services within the Gas Construction Measurement and Controls group, ensuring safe and compliant completion of construction projects on gas transmission and distribution assets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job reviews, site surveys, and pre/post-construction checks.
• Create estimates and review As-Built packages for accuracy.
• Coordinate shutdowns, support crews, and manage material and regulatory compliance issues.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, prepare layouts, and host project status meetings.
• Perform field site visits, collaborate with teams, and support project scheduling with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction disciplines or equivalent experience, with coursework in science and engineering.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Skills

• CAD drafting.
• Knowledge of As-Built documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Pay

Wages range from $51.15 to $76.65 per hour.

This position is covered by collective bargaining agreements and may require frequent travel.
