Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer position at Garney involves acting as a liaison between the office engineers and the field teams, ensuring that projects meet engineering specifications and supporting the team's success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work meets engineering specifications
• Handle important documents
• Ensure correct materials are received and stored
• Survey and lay-out job sites
• Process and review shop drawings
• Update as-built documents
• Audit completed construction
• Complete daily and periodic report updates
• Coordinate subcontractor work

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• Entry-level project management experience

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Proficient in surveying and layout techniques
• Knowledgeable in construction management software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Base salary starts at $75,000
