About the Role

As a key member of the project delivery team, you will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. Your role involves close collaboration with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to validate expectations, resolve conflicts, and drive project success.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Safe Work Practices that conform with the Company’s Safety Program and client worksite policies to ensure every team member stays accident-free daily.
  • Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard the Company culture.
  • Participate in the RFP process, including a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Provide close support to the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager.
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to processes used by Project Delivery Teams to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop colleagues.
  • Interact with customers to validate expectations before, during, and after project completion.
  • Provide oversight and support for subcontractors.
  • Lead field validation of telecom design, proactively identifying conflicts or gaps and collaborating with Construction Managers, Project Managers, and customers for resolution through the RFI process.
  • Manage the project review process with an emphasis on constructability, value engineering options, and design discrepancies/clashes.
  • Implement and oversee electronic tracking systems and custom dashboards to drive real-time visibility into task progress, crew productivity, and issue resolution.
  • Handle daily/weekly reporting, issue escalation, and coordination with project managers and general contractors.
  • Proactively and systematically communicate challenges, risks, and successes.
  • Coordinate with Project Superintendent(s) to assess installation methods, labor needs, and manpower forecasts.
  • Support QA/QC by ensuring adherence to Quality Control plans and processes.
  • Ensure downstream team members meet deadlines on assigned tasks.
  • Review contracts, work orders, and purchase orders to understand contractual requirements and ensure alignment with estimates and contract documents.
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships.
  • Work with the field operations team to ensure proper materials and equipment are available.
  • Coordinate with customers for acceptance and signoff.
  • Demonstrate ownership of the change management process by identifying scope impacts, initiating timely communication, and driving resolution.
  • Partner closely with QA/QC teams to review and validate test results (e.g., OTDR, Power Meter).
  • Maintain up-to-date redlines throughout the build lifecycle.
  • Lead the preparation of closeout documentation, ensuring timely, organized, and customer-ready submittals.

Requirements

  • Proficient in leveraging information and data to make informed decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols, processes, and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of industry-specific estimating and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to identify change events.
  • Knowledge of construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ability to understand and develop project schedules.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organizational skills, and excellent customer service.
  • Disciplined, detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor junior field staff, lead site walks, and represent the telecom discipline in cross-functional meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence without direct authority.
  • Proficient in using business and industry applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Bluebeam, Procore, and Textura.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry in a similar role.
  • Experience with large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred.
  • Preferred professional certifications: OSHA-30 Hour certification (must be obtained within the first six months of employment if not certified at hire).
  • BICSI TECH certification preferred.

Work Location and Travel

On project site daily with up to 15% travel.
