Field Duct Installer

About the role

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking to hire a hard-working and growth-minded individual to join our team as a Field Duct Installer. No prior experience is required; we offer on-the-job training (OJT). You’ll create with your hands, working outdoors in different environments, installing duct work on commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, and government centers.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to assemble, install and repair duct, equipment, and accessories in order to construct HVAC systems. Your main tasks will include:

• Working safely at all times, as safety is our highest priority
• Laying out and installing commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings
• Unloading, moving, and handling commercial-scale duct work
• Properly finishing and sealing duct work
• Working at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof
• Assisting with installing commercial HVAC equipment
• Learning to use a variety of power and hand tools

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be able to:

• Keep a drug-free workplace
• Be punctual and reliable
• Work as a team
• Perform basic "tape measure math"
• Work in extremes of heat, cold, and bad weather, indoors and outdoors
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs
• Work efficiently in confined spaces
• Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending
• Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination

Additionally, you will need a valid driver's license and dependable transportation, as well as an OSHA10 card or willingness to obtain one.
