Overview
Join the Titan Machinery team as a Case IH Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and pre-delivery work on customer equipment, internal units, and warranty repairs at a high level of quality and efficiency. Work may be performed in the shop or in the field, and all assigned tasks must be completed safely, professionally, and profitably.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls.
- Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly with equipment owners, operators, and the service team.
- Request, install, and manage all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs.
- Complete work orders and all required service-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain current product knowledge and service capabilities.
- Proactively recommend maintenance, upgrades, or solutions that add value for customers and improve equipment performance.
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments.
Qualifications
- Have 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
- 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision
- Clean driving record
- Must have own tools
- Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
- Able to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and perform 50% or more work offsite/in the field
- Able to work flexible/on-call hours
- Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Exceptional Documentation and Communication Abilities
