Field Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls.
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly with equipment owners, operators, and the service team.
• Request, install, and manage all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs.
• Complete work orders and all required service-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Proactively recommend maintenance, upgrades, or solutions that add value for customers and improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Have 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program.
• 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision.
• Clean driving record.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification.
• Able to work flexible/on-call hours.
• Able to work independently.
• Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently.
• Exceptional Documentation and Communication Abilities.

Titan Machinery reserves the right to adjust compensation based on factors including but not limited to: scope and geography of the position, qualifications and experience of candidates, and other business and operational conditions.

Schedule

Titan Machinery provides a flexible schedule with the possibility of working off-site and in the field up to 75% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.
