About the role
The Drafter Position supports utility project engineers and project managers in the planning, engineering, and design of electric distribution projects. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, taking measurements, utilizing various utility programs/data centers, and ensuring projects comply with current utility, federal, and state standards.
Responsibilities
- Apply various engineering and design methods to ensure quality deliverables for the customer.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, utilize various utility programs/data centers in support of projects.
- Identify the scope of an assigned project and decide logical actions to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between service providers and internal/external customers, including technical support in the direction of a project manager.
- Respond to customer concerns and collaborate with appropriate parties for resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills for single or multiple technical areas.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Customer-oriented, positive, collaborative, flexible, and understanding of complex technical design plans.
- Drafter/Designer: 0-3 years’ relevant work experience OR bachelor’s degree in engineering, Design, or related discipline.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Valid driver’s license + reliable vehicle.
