About the role

The Field Deployment Specialist will be based out of Casper, WY and will be responsible for deploying DarkVision’s technology in various jobs and well types across the continental US. The role involves working closely with different oil and gas operators, service companies, and personnel, and will require extensive travel.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deploy the technology in wells, including mobilization, rig-up, rig-down, communications with site personnel and service companies, and overseeing the deployment of the products in each customer’s well.
  • Travel throughout the US and potentially internationally to deploy the technology with various oil and gas operators.
  • Ensure tools, parts, trucks, and critical equipment are checked, cleaned, calibrated, and verified for each job.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, site personnel, and DarkVision staff to ensure deployments are successful and everyone has the necessary information.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise on-site in real-time, supported by the engineering and operations teams, and quickly solve field problems.
  • Provide feedback and ideas on improving the product, technology, and operational processes to increase efficiency, quality, and scalability of the overall business.

Requirements

  • Experience deploying logging technologies using wireline, tractor, coil, or other deployment methods.
  • Experience working with US oil & gas operators and service companies.

Qualifications

  • Located near Casper, WY or willing to relocate there; no rotation or housing provided.
  • General experience with downhole equipment, well construction, completions etc., would be an important asset.
  • A technical or engineering background would be helpful in better understanding the technology and how it works; however, it is not a hard requirement.
  • Career-focused, looking to work hard, advance your career, and get paid well while learning about downhole imaging.
  • Able to travel extensively and perform large amounts of fieldwork sustainably.
  • A desire to learn, play with, and embrace new technologies and software systems.
  • The ability to communicate problems, concerns, and discrepancies to stakeholders in a direct but diplomatic way.
  • A sense of humor, as DarkVision has a casual, funny, and sometimes sarcastic culture.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of downhole equipment and well construction.
