Field Data Collector

HotFoot is hiring a team of Part-Time Field Data Collectors for a temporary map and commercial location verification project throughout Pima County and Tucson, Arizona. Employees will travel to assigned restaurants, cafés, stores, and other commercial locations, take several exterior photographs using an Android smartphone, verify basic business information and operating status, and submit the information through a designated mobile application. This is a straightforward outdoor field position. It does not involve sales, product promotion, customer interviews, purchases, or professional photography.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned restaurants, stores, and other commercial locations
• Confirm that the business name and address match the assignment
• Verify whether the business is operating, temporarily closed, permanently closed, relocated, or not found
• Take clear exterior photographs of the storefront, entrance, business sign, and publicly displayed information
• Upload photographs and location information through the designated Android application
• Follow GPS, photo quality, privacy, safety, and data accuracy requirements
• Accurately report inaccessible, closed, relocated, or incorrect locations
• Complete assigned routes during scheduled working hours
• Communicate field or technical issues to the project team
• Follow all project confidentiality and safety requirements

Typical assignments may require approximately five photographs, including a storefront front view, left and right angles, business sign, and publicly displayed menu or business information. Most individual locations require approximately 3–5 minutes of on-site data collection. Total working time varies depending on travel distance, traffic, parking, weather, and location density.

Qualifications

• Must have your own vehicle to drive
• Must have an Android phone to complete the task
• Good photography skills
• Able to learn the task quickly

$20/hr

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Setting

On-site / Field-based (must be willing to travel within Pima County and Tucson)

Project Duration

Approximately 4–8 weeks

Possible Work Areas

Employees are not required to cover the entire county. Routes will be assigned based on project needs, employee location, availability, transportation, and reasonable travel distance.
