  • Coordinate daily with the General Contractor, Subcontractors, construction supervisors, QA/QC, HSE, engineering, commissioning teams, and the onsite Mechanical Engineer to support safe and efficient field execution.
  • Review and apply IFC drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, technical specifications, approved submittals, and installation details to verify field work and support issue resolution.
  • Support the resolution of RFIs, technical questions, design conflicts, constructability concerns, field changes, and installation coordination issues.
  • Monitor construction progress and communicate completed work, delays, constraints, field deviations, risks, and potential project impacts.
  • Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, turnover, punch list closure, and close-out documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing HSE requirements for field activities, including permits to work, hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, pressure testing, and LOTO procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a closely related technical discipline (mechanical, industrial, civil, or construction management backgrounds are especially relevant).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field construction engineering, construction management, industrial project execution, or site-based construction coordination.
  • Experience serving as part of an Owner's Team, client representative team, GC organization, or construction management organization.
  • Strong interest in working primarily in an active field construction environment while supporting oversight of contractor installations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply IFC drawings, specifications, approved submittals, P&IDs, isometrics, equipment layouts, and technical documentation in a field setting.
  • Sound understanding of construction sequencing, installation practices, quality verification, contractor coordination, and project turnover processes.
  • Familiarity with construction management and document control tools such as Procore, Aconex, Bluebeam, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate field interfaces across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, controls, and commissioning disciplines.
  • Strong communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced field environment.
