About the role
The Field Clinical Educator leverages professional nursing expertise and clinical acumen to educate healthcare professionals — both in person and virtually — on a complex oral anti-seizure therapy for neurological conditions. Working in close partnership with sales representatives, field reimbursement managers, and other cross-functional colleagues, this role serves as a trusted clinical resource in the field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver education on pre-approved curriculum to diverse audiences including physicians, nurses, office staff, and other healthcare professionals in community and institutional settings.
- Manage routing and scheduling to proactively and reactively engage approved HCP targets within the assigned territory.
- Conduct total office calls and in-service sessions covering patient education and empowerment strategies and patient support programs.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare providers, office staff, and local nurse educators.
- Plan, implement, and communicate collaboratively with all field organizations to meet business objectives, identify synergistic opportunities, and optimize territory-level execution.
- Collaborate with the virtual nurse navigator team to provide feedback and insight on patients being supported through the nursing program.
- Contribute industry insights and innovative approaches to training curriculum development.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company, client, and industry-mandated rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN or NP licensure required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of HCP and patient education experience. Recent neurological experience required; epilepsy and rare disease experience preferred. Experience working for or contracting with a pharmaceutical company preferred.
- Skills: Strong presentation and training skills with the ability to engage multiple audience types. Ability to promptly address open-ended questions and provide feedback and solutions based on real-world clinical experience. Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and proven adaptability in fast-paced environments. Comfortable and proficient with technology, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs and federal procurement or non-procurement programs.
- Must have reliable internet access.
Additional Requirements
- Travel: Approximately 70% travel within the assigned territory.
- Physical: Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Ability to communicate effectively (hear, listen, speak) with or without reasonable accommodations.
