Field Applications Scientist

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Field Applications Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This remote role will partner closely with sales, product, and R&D teams to support customer success across multiple product lines in a highly technical life sciences environment. The position will focus on evaluating customer processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, and translating complex scientific needs into practical solutions. The ideal candidate will also contribute technical documentation, share field insights, and help strengthen long-term customer relationships.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to provide technical support across multiple product lines
• Develop project plans for customer technology evaluation and implementation
• Analyze customer processes to identify optimization opportunities
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide data-driven solutions
• Draft technical documents based on customer projects and interactions
• Foster partnerships with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure effective support
• Provide feedback and insights to R&D and Product Management to support product innovation
• Stay current on industry trends and technologies to strengthen technical expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field
• 5+ years of experience in cell culture process development or related bioprocessing roles
• Familiarity with perfusion techniques, ATF/TFF methodologies, and cGMP requirements
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues
• Excellent communication skills for technical data interpretation and collaboration
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic customer needs

Pay

$100,000 – $155,000 annually
