Field Applications Engineer
What You'll Do
- Cultivate business opportunities through technical product application support, product demonstrations, joint calls with sales personnel, direct customer visits, and product training.
- Diligently expand IronRidge's network of influence and leverage expertise to promote the IronRidge value proposition.
- Plan territory technical sales visits, events, and trainings.
- Generate training reports to ensure all customer and sales engagements are accounted for and captured.
- Coordinate and provide on-the-job (OJT) training for new opportunities on the ground and rooftop.
- Provide customer feedback on improvements to products and/or training content.
- Leverage professional network to generate product demand by coordinating training with non-competing solar manufacturers.
- Maintain records as needed and report on relevant changes in the weekly meeting to keep everyone appraised of changes in products, market trends, and code compliance.
- Regularly report on competitive landscape of the region and other market intelligence.
- Design PV layouts in IR and other PV design software to support Sales, Distributors, and End Users.
- Accurately document application support questions and calls.
- Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Teams for product development.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- Three to five years related experience and/or training, or a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret: professional journals, technical installation and engineering procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift and carry solar modules up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights, including rooftop operations.
- Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM systems), and MS Excel.
- Competency in solar layout, design, mounting, waterproofing, and racking for residential and light commercial installations.
- Ability to speak in public to small and large groups.
- OSHA 10 Construction required.
- NABCEP certification a plus.
- Spanish a plus.
Where You'll Be Located
This position is based in the Northeast with a preference for candidates in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.
What We'll Offer
- Competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education, and location.
- We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $100,000-$112,000/annually, if located in the New England market.
- In addition to base salary, Enstall Solar Group employees are eligible for either an annual bonus or commission, depending on their position.
