Fiduciary Tax Associate
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for comprehensive fiduciary tax assignments involving federal and state tax returns, estimated payments, and projections for various types of trusts.
- Work closely with senior members of the fiduciary tax group, client account managers, clients, and outside advisors.
- Research various federal and state tax issues using internet research tools.
- Correspond with various tax authorities.
- Analyze and interpret trust instruments and other pertinent documents, including GST analysis.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years fiduciary tax experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Familiarity with ProSystem fx and OneSource tax software.
- Experience with Hedge fund K-1’s, ESBT’s, and state nexus issues is a plus.
- Clear communicator with good writing skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Well organized and attentive to detail.
- Able to listen and think on their feet.
- Able to work in a team structure.
- Excellent organizational skills (able to handle multiple priorities).
- Able to adapt to various changes.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-80,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
