ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify defects such as: cracks, blisters, stress fractures and cosmetic flaws.
- Prep fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair.
- Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas by using appropriate power or hand-tools. Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly.
- Mix Gel coat catalyst and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors. Buff and polish repaired surfaces.
- Estimate repair times, plan for materials, coordinate jobs with management. Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Collaborate with team members and provide guidance or support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and OSHA standards.
- Stay updated on industry techniques and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience as a fiberglass specialist. Maritime experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Gel Coat repair
- Additional training or certifications in marine repair or fiberglass work is preferred
