Responsibilities

• Producing end-to-end fiber optic networks.
• Believing in doing the job right, being the best, and being up for the challenge.
• Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networks.
• Operating all testing equipment and being adept at resolving challenges common to fiber optic networks.
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.
• Utilizing fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter.
• Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss.
• Working in outdoor utility construction sites.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands‑on approach to your work.
• Looking for long‑term projects.
• Enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
• At least 3‑5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• Flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.
• MOS Codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 relate well to this position.
• Hard work pays off.

Pay

Compensation: $28‑$36/hour depending on experience.
