Responsibilities
- Developing end-to-end fiber optic networks.
- Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networks.
- Operating all testing equipment and resolving challenges related to fiber optic networks.
- Prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.
- Utilizing fusion splicer, test equipment, OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter.
- Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss.
- Working in outdoor utility construction sites.
Qualifications
- Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
- A track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- A knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoying a hands-on approach to your work.
- Looking for long-term projects.
- Enjoying getting your hands dirty with your team.
- At least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
- Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.

- A track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- Flexible and enjoying a variety of shifts with overtime.
Pay
$25-$30 per hour, depending on the experience.
