Responsibilities

• Produce end-to-end fiber optic networks with a focus on quality and excellence.
• Test and troubleshoot the continuity of fiber optic networks.
• Operate all testing equipment and resolve challenges common to fiber optic networks.
• Prepare fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer and test equipment including OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, and Power meter.
• Apply fiber engineering knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.

Requirements

• Safety is a priority in your day-to-day work.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Ability to solve complex problems with a hands-on approach.
• Interest in long-term projects and teamwork in outdoor environments.
• At least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• Flexible and open to a variety of shifts with overtime.

MOS Codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 are relevant to this position.

Pay

$20–$28 per hour.
