Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing non-medical clinical counseling services, serving as a subject matter expert for the Installation Family Advocacy Program, and performing other duties as assigned. The responsibilities will be divided into four main areas:
- Non-medical Clinical Counseling (NMC) (40%): Receive and assess referrals, provide direct counseling services, develop treatment plans, and assess individual/family needs.
- Installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP) (40%): Serve as the clinical subject matter expert, provide case management services, triage clients, and develop safety and treatment plans.
- Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children and Youth (10%): Receive reports, provide or coordinate clinical services, and serve as the designated case manager for PSB-CY cases.
- Community Liaison duties (10%): Liaise with various agencies, represent the Navy at community meetings, and provide summaries of liaison meetings to the Supervisor and FFSP Director.
Specific duties will include assessing individual/family needs, exploring basic personality structures, and referring clients to appropriate behavioral health providers. The candidate will also provide initial and on-going case management services, conduct risk and lethality assessments, and develop safety and treatment plans. Additionally, the candidate will identify crisis situations, provide immediate crisis intervention, and prepare safety planning.
