FERC Regulated Natural Gas Pipeline Business Development Manager

About the role

Position: FERC Regulated Natural Gas Pipeline Business Development Manager located in Tulsa, OK. Willing to relocate candidates to Tulsa. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and creating value in structuring development transactions. It requires analytic, energetic, innovative, results‑oriented individuals with quick and inquisitive minds, working to maximize revenue, profit and returns through knowledge of finance, contracts, operations, partnerships, insurance, markets, taxation and accounting, and assisting with the evaluation of potential acquisitions and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Leads/manages project development and acquisition activities of FERC Regulated Interstate Natural Gas Pipelines
• Negotiates complex transactions
• Coordinates with affiliates to create and capitalize on development opportunities
• Evaluates development opportunities and identifies value‑creation opportunities and business structures
• Communicates results of analysis to senior management
• Negotiates with counterparties to successfully structure transactions
• May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to identify value‑creation opportunities
• Strong understanding of FERC regulated pipelines
• Familiarity with all aspects of structuring commercial transactions in the energy industry and negotiations of related commercial and financial agreements
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent modeling skills and experience in valuation methodologies and financial disciplines
• Ability to work as a leader of a large company team and successfully close complex energy and/or asset‑related contracts
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation skills, and ability to analyze and communicate complex transactions to senior management
• Ability to take initiative
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Ability to travel as necessary
• Ability to function within a matrix organization where functional and business leaders have equal authority and employees report to both a functional
