About the Role
As a Fence Installation Driver at Reliable Onsite Services, you will deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. You will provide exceptional customer service and maintain an open line of communication with dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Safely operate a fencing truck daily, ensure proper load securement
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles
- Perform pre-use and post-use inspections on fence installation tools
- Ensure truck is loaded with necessary equipment/materials and restock as needed
- Meet with customers to review fencing projects and follow up as required
- Prepare job sites for fence installation
- Set fence poles, install fence, and pull fence to customer specifications
- Coordinate and inspect the work of the Fence Installation Associate
- Train Fence Installation Associate on safety protocols and proper installation techniques
- Repair temporary fencing units at job sites as requested
- Provide onsite moves and pick-up/delivery of fencing
- Operate forklift for loading/unloading and moving equipment/materials
- Assist with other Reliable OnSite Services rental equipment offerings as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 1 year of truck driving experience (CDL preferred)
- DOT medical card required prior to employment
- 2 years of fencing and/or construction industry experience preferred
- Diligent attention to safety and knowledge of safe driving procedures
- Ability to understand utility markings and follow underground utility safety requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift, move, push, pull, twist, and turn items up to 45 pounds and more with assistance
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and customer environments
- Some weekend work may be required
