Position Summary

The NYU Social Work Post-Masters Fellowship is a two-year program for New York State licensed social workers (LMSWs). The Fellowship provides advanced training for social workers interested in becoming highly effective clinicians and potential leaders in the field of clinical social work. This program offers an intensive immersion in therapeutic work with adults and couples and includes instruction in a range of therapeutic modalities and evidenced-based treatments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluating new patients with in-person and written feedback in a timely manner.
  • Providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatments to individual, couples, and group modalities.
  • Establishing proficiency in diagnosis and the psychosocial aspects of impairment; using standardized screening instruments (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD7); providing short-term and long-term psychotherapy, patient-centered treatment planning.
  • Providing community outreach (webinars, workshops, etc.).
  • Participate in formal didactics and training workshops, including attendance at weekly grand rounds, case conferences, weekly didactics, etc.
  • Attend and participate in weekly individual and group supervisions.
  • Manage a caseload, under the supervision of an LCSW, with a metric of 20 patients in the first year.
  • Completes additional responsibilities and performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Satisfactorily completed accredited masters level training in Social Work.
  • Currently licensed master of social work in the state of New York.
  • Lic Master Social Worker.
  • Completed at least one-year of licensed work in the field of mental health, in a hospital or community-based or other relevant setting.
  • A strong desire to develop clinical skill sets.

Pay

The salary range for the role is $41,860.00 - $60,060.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
