About the Role
Set up and operate analog press feeder equipment according to job specifications, maintaining quality and productivity to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare press for use by loading paper stock, adjusting for size, setting feed board, side guides, register board, delivery mechanism, and loading ink.
- Maintain press paper supply, ink levels, feeder load level, and feeder operation during press runs.
- Read and understand job tickets to assemble required materials.
- Assist in completing preventive maintenance.
- Track job production hours as applicable.
- Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean workplace, reporting unsafe conditions, and ensuring department safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work accurately and on time.
- Move materials (paper, supplies, completed jobs) using a pallet jack.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four or more years of relevant industry experience, or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee with manager’s approval for full-time hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment.
- One or more years of experience as a press helper in a high-volume print shop.
- Electric pallet jack certification.
Skills
- Basic computer skills (email, mouse, keyboard, menu navigation).
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurement).
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to become electric pallet jack certified and operate a pallet jack.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping for up to 8 hours per day.
- Frequent standing for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours per day).
- Frequent walking.
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to visually inspect work for defects, including color accuracy.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.
Schedule
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, rotating every 5 weeks between Monday–Wednesday and Thursday–Saturday (includes a $1.00/hour shift differential).
Pay
$25–$35 per hour.
