About the role

The FSQR Lead/Feed Processing Technician will execute production processes within a work area, operational department, or technical domain. You will follow guidelines and specifications to ensure delivery of high-quality data and be responsible for the Food Safety & Regulatory program, housekeeping duties, and assisting with equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to building a safety culture that reduces and eliminates risk.
  • Compile and report accurate data, observations, deviations, and production quality measurements on time.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes, daily routines, and procedures.
  • Operate processes to ensure production outcomes meet customer specifications for quality, quantity, and timing efficiently.
  • Align with corporate policies and procedures related to environment, health, safety, and food or product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, secondary education level, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience.
  • Able to work 1 weekend (supporting animal units) every 4 weeks and 2 holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Food Safety and Regulatory experience.
  • Professional certificate in a relevant area such as production engineering, chemical processing, industrial food production, automation, mechanical, electrical, or engineering.
  • Boilers License.

Pay

The expected salary for this position is $25 - $30 hourly. Compensation varies depending on factors including location, certifications, education, and experience.
