About the role

JBS Live Pork Smithton is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Feed Mill Production Technician to join an excellent team responsible for the manufacturing and shipping of animal feed.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple pieces of equipment, including grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, and coolers.
• Sample and receive ingredients by truck, and monitor ingredient inventory levels.
• Manufacture feeds to meet specifications and food safety requirements.
• Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands.
• Maintain accurate, legible records.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean workplace.

Requirements

• Local to the Smithton, MO area.
• Regular and reliable transportation.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to clean and organize work areas.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with other employees.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work.
• Above-average skills in teamwork, decision-making, responsibility, and integrity.
