Feed Mill Maintenance Mechanic
About the role
As a Maintenance Mechanic in our feedmill, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping critical operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, handling repairs, and responding to emergencies to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment across various locations within the facility, including reaching up to 150 feet vertically.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, such as fabricating, rebuilding machinery, gearboxes, pumps, and more.
- Document all work activities on appropriate work orders.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations during both regular and off-duty hours to maintain continuous operation.
- Generate and submit necessary paperwork, including work orders, timecards, and meeting records, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and Perdue safety guidelines.
- Ensure all repairs adhere to OSHA regulations, follow lockout/tag-out procedures, and comply with Perdue safety protocols.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.
- Ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment and tools, which may weigh up to 100 lbs.
- Wear necessary safety equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
Skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7pm - 5am; weekends on rotation.
