About the role
Responsible for operating equipment to load finished feed into trailers for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Performs all duties in a safe manner consistent with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety procedures, quality control programs, and food safety programs, including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintains inventories.
- Maintains measurements in the appropriate systems.
- Maintains good housekeeping in assigned areas following all housekeeping programs.
- Conducts quality control processes and testing outlined in SOPs. Logs and maintains all results.
- Maintains and/or distributes accurate and organized records, reports, and documentation.
- Completes timely data entry ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained in relevant systems or logs.
- Attends safety and training meetings.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Butterball Core Competencies
- Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good communication, organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills; Ability to solve basic routine problems using established standards; Detail-orientated with the ability to maintain accuracy in data entry; Ability to follow detailed instructions; Good reading, writing, and math skills; Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level of the office and farm environment is usually moderate. The noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
- Showering in and out of farm locations may be required.
